Apparently 3 months have blasted by since I last made time to write here. Things have been a little chaotic, but I think the dust has settled enough that I can finally go public with an official announcement: this household is closing up shop in San Diego, and moving north. We are relocating to Seattle, Washington!
Grant and I have been attracted to the idea of living in the northwest for a while now, and we’ve had the chance to hear a lot of good things about Seattle from my brother, who’s lived there for the past few years. When we visited the city for the first time last Summer, we were instantly charmed. We’ve been working toward this move as a long-term goal, and the stars have finally aligned to see us kicking off 2017 with a brand new adventure.
We’re still in the thick of the transition – it’s been a hectic year leading up to this point, but now things are really moving swiftly ahead. We just secured a new apartment, and within a month, we’ll be packing up and making the trek!
In work-life news, I will miss seeing my Healthy Dining colleagues every day, but I’m happy to say I’ll still be working with them, remotely! I wish I could say the same for my second job, but unfortunately leaving San Diego means leaving my position as Healthy Cooking instructor at the wellness department of our local Naval hospital. Very hard to say goodbye to my patients! But as you can tell from my sporadic posts over the last year, it was a real challenge to work two jobs and also keep up a blog-hustle on the side, so I’m really looking forward to spending more time here again.
Until next time, wishing you all the best in life – PEACE!
