Making a Move… Hello, Seattle!

Hello Seattle!

Oh, hello.

Apparently 3 months have blasted by since I last made time to write here. Things have been a little chaotic, but I think the dust has settled enough that I can finally go public with an official announcement: this household is closing up shop in San Diego, and moving north. We are relocating to Seattle, Washington!

Grant and I haveΒ been working toward this move as a long-term goal, and the stars have finally aligned to see us kicking off 2017 with a brand new adventure.

We’re still in the thick of the transition – it’s been a hectic year leading up to this point, but now things are really moving swiftly ahead.Β We just secured a new apartment, and within a month, we’ll be packing up and making the trek!

Until next time, wishing you all the best in life – PEACE!

  1. Hi Mary! I’m so happy and excited for you & Grant! I hope to visit you in September when I attend my godchild’s wedding in September.

  2. Welcome to Seattle! You’re the second person I know who has moved here from San Diego this year. I hope you love it. It has a great food scene. Not going to lie…it rains…a lot. And it’s quite cold right now. But the summers make it all worth while.

Hope you enjoy every minute of your new city!

    1. Thank you for the warm welcome!! I’m very excited for the food scene, truly one-of-a-kind – and I think I’m prepared for the weather… I’m from Florida originally, so a few years in the ultra dry CA climate has left me missing rain! I’ll admit I was a little apprehensive about the cold/dark winters, but I’m up for the new challenge, and looking forward to following the natural rhythm of the seasons. Thanks again, I’m following your Instagram to get in the PNW spirit now!

  3. I’m also in Washington from San Diego, since 1991. Been in eastern WA for 20 years now, moved from Gig Harbor. Enjoy this beautiful state, so full of beauty and adventure, many less than a few hours drive from Seattle.
